The Young Regional Scholarship Program is available to any local artists and arts workers between the ages of 18 and 25 and applies to areas including dance, design, digital arts, history, Aboriginal arts, literature, music, theatre, screen and the visual arts.
Activities including mentorships, internships, residencies, short-term courses, workshops, travel and the creation of new work can all be funded by the scholarship and Member for Monaro John Barilaro has urged the next generation of arts professionals to fulfil their creative ambitions by applying for the scholarship prior to its closing date of Monday, June 27.
"I want our young artists to connect with arts organisations and seek training opportunities so they can reach their potential and develop their careers," Mr Barilaro said.
