The monster truck and freestyle spectacular event coordinator Troy Garcia has been involved with monster trucks for two decades, and he still thinks the vehicle is one of the most exciting in the world.
Encouraging everyone to come along to the family-friendly event, Garcia attributed the enormous size of the vehicle to the continuing success of monster trucks and their associated shows.
"The monster trucks themselves are super exciting for the kids to look at," Garcia said.
"They're in awe of them, their sheer size really gets kids going," he said.
"Of course, the mums and dads come along and there are a few enthusiasts but we're all about the kids and making them smile, and monster trucks do that for sure."
While the vehicles are the leading drawcard, the monster trucks are not the only attraction on the bill.
Amusement rides, jumping castles, water balls, freestyle motocross, quad bikes and even a jet car will be making appearances at the show.
"The jet car has got a helicopter jet engine in it that goes into after-burn mode and I'm sure as the sun sets, it will wow the crowd as it lights up what will probably be the whole of Queanbeyan," Garcia said.
"We have also got the freestyle motocross, which everybody knows is the leading extreme sport and we've got a couple of guys who are going to be back flipping their motorbikes," he said.
"I've seen it since day one and I just stand there and shake my head every time I see it, even all these years later I still can't believe that you can actually back flip a motorbike in the air."
With back-flipping motorbikes, souped-up trucks and an American Monster Jam driver, Garcia said the show will provide something for everyone.
"They will walk away with a warm feeling, I hope, and at some stage everyone will have been on the edge of their seat going, 'Wow, that was pretty cool'," Garcia said.
Tickets to the monster truck show can be purchased at Langes Auto Centre at 44 Yass Road, Queanbeyan, or you can visit monstertrucks.net.au.
Tickets will be available at the gate but Garcia encouraged prior purchases to avoid any traffic hazards or disappointment. Gates will open at 3pm, with the show to begin at 6pm.
