The exodus is yet another fallout from the sex scandal that has already seen off former ALP boss Jamie Clements and plunged the all-powerful Right faction into disarray.

State Labor organiser David Latham, who was thought to be next in line for the Right's assistant secretary position, will instead leave Sussex Street and intends to work in government relations.

Latham has been upset by the prominent media coverage of the scandal, which involved his fiance Stefanie Jones, and now finds himself despised by Clements' supporters. But it is understood he still harbours ambition for a tilt at electoral politics a little down the track.

Latham's co-worker Dominic Ofner​ also confirmed he will leave the building next Friday. "I was thinking of moving on before that stuff happened," he told PS. Ofner is bound for the Edmund Rice Centre, a Christian Brothers social justice group focusing on asylum seekers and Indigenous Australians.

Another admin worker is also packing up her desk, but it is said to be unrelated to the Clements matters.

Meanwhile Jones, a former staffer for Campbelltown MP Greg Warren, is pursuing a job with another former NSW general secretary and now federal senator, Sam Dastyari​.

Clements resigned last month following a long-running scandal in which Jones accused him of trying to kiss her during an altercation at parliament. The pair had previously had a romantic affair. Clements denied any wrongdoing and police eventually withdrew an AVO application taken out on Jones' behalf.

There was speculation that Latham, Jones and others in the party were trying to have Clements ousted to advance their own interests. But Latham's departure from HQ would seem to put the kybosh on that notion.

Meanwhile, he and Jones have just returned from a vacation to Fiji, where they relaxed at the Shangri-la resort. On Instagram, Latham shared a photo of his holiday "reading": Mao Zedong's The Little Red Book.
