The festival begins from 1pm on Saturday, and the Stan Coster Memorial Australian Bush Ballad Awards are held at 8pm that night. The music continues on Sunday with non-stop action from 10am to 6pm. President of the committee Winston Masters said the event flows from the showgrounds into the town, with busking in the street on Saturday morning and entertainment at various venues in the village.
"We've got people coming from all parts of Australia," Mr Masters said.
"It is a sort of generation thing, people grow into it as they get older."
Mr Masters said most of the people who attend have a strong connection to the country, and are seniors.
"The muster is still as strong today as it was 30 years ago," he said.
This year, a special Bush Balladeers Place is being opened in recognition of notable bush balladeers of Australia. The gazebo and Wall of Recognition is expected to be a focal point for tourists, and ideal for outdoor concerts. The opening will take place today, Friday February 5 at 3pm on site.
