The Queanbeyan Bluebags returned to the pitch on January 9 after a brief summer hiatus and the return weekend had the boys in blue coming up against Eastlake Cricket Club.

First grade was overcome by six wickets in the first innings, despite skipper Vele Dukoski and paceman Guy Gillespie chalking up respective tallies of 45 and 57 to contribute to an overall run score of 212 all out.
Eastlake's rapid run rate had the opposition finishing up on a much superior 9/293.
Second grade were able to outclass Eastlake in a convincing fashion, going on to win the game by a comfortable six wickets after a spell of brutal bowling from Queanbeyan with Alex Page standing out and taking four scalps for a total of 60 runs.
In Deakin, third grade continued their unbeatable streak, downing Eastlake by an innings and a mammoth 12 wickets. Contributing to the score was Queanbeyan bowler Beau Watts who took an impressive five wickets for a mere 17 runs.
Neil Bulger Oval played host to the fourth grade squad who managed to win their first innings against Eastlake by 6 wickets.
The following weekend marked the first day of a two-day series against Wests/UC. The first grade squad had more misery heaped upon them at Jamison Oval, when they were left all out for a total of 118 after a batting collapse occurred with Dukoski recording the highest run score of 27.
Second grade also suffered against Wests/UC, with the Bluebags trailing their opponents by 90 runs at stumps on day one, with few batters to spare.
In Kaleen, third grade had a better start to the series with both Watts taking four wickets a piece.
At stumps, Queanbeyan was trailing by 51 with room in the batting order to capitalise. Fourth grade played well at home on Neil Bulger Oval, outclassing Wests/UC by 46 runs.
The fifth grade squad went up against ANU Gold, emerging from the match as victors after restricting their opponents to a total of 94 for the innings. Queanbeyan reached 96, after losing only two batsmen, and won the game by eight wickets.
