Tigers no match for Lions

A FLAT and decidedly lacklustre Queanbeyan Tigers outfit proved

no match for the Brisbane Lions in yesterday's NEAFL cross-conference grand final at Manuka Oval.

Just six days after claiming an historic victory over the Sydney Swans in the NEAFL Eastern Conference decider, the Tigers were unable to back up against a professional Lions outfit.

Brisbane eventually ran away with the match 22.12 (144) to 11.9 (75) in what was without doubt Queanbeyan's worst performance of the season.

The result however, has little bearing on the Tigers fortunes for next season with the club having already qualified for the Foxtel Cup which will include both NEAFL conference champions.
