POWERHOUSE club Waratah made it four Queanbeyan Netball Association premierships in a row on Saturday with a 38-30 victory over the Jerra Joeys.
But while the final scoreline suggests yet another comfortable victory, Waratah was forced to work hard for the win after trailing 19-17 at half-time.
A young Jerra side showed plenty of enthusiasm early to match it with their more experienced opponents but eventually ran out off puff as Waratah's class showed through.
Waratah midcourt player Leanne McGrath was named as player of the match, an honour that could have just as easily been claimed by 15-year-old Jerra centre Georgia Stephinson who was superb in a beaten side.
In other grades, Waratah also claimed the second division title while Sunrise downed Royals in an extra-time thriller in third division. Sunrise was not so lucky in fourth grade, going down to Bungendore.
