But tonight, the boys in blue have a chance to perform a top tier sweep of the competition by following in the fashion of their victorious second and third grade squads and securing the silverware on their second outing.

Although Queanbeyan made a blistering start when the two teams previously met on November 1, the opposing side Weston Molongo can enter the rematch with confidence after having reduced the Bluebags to 7-86 after 16 overs when rain and lightning intervened.

The batting collapse sparked within the Queanbeyan ranks last match was in no small part due to Weston Molonglo bowlers Mac Wright and Blake Dean, who finished with the figures of 2-12 and 2-18 from their four overs respectively.

But Queanbeyan batsman Dean Solway believes his side can find a way to combat the duo in the rescheduled decider.

"We're obviously stoked to have another opportunity at it because we weren't playing too good in the one that got washed out," he said.

"It was a bit of luck for us, but I think we have taken some opportunities to learn from the performance that we had the other night and fix some areas that we were pretty ordinary in, like batting and spin."

"We'll just have to be smarter about it and pick our bowlers to target and we've got guys that play spin bowling well, so I think it was just a bad night and we can turn it around this week."
