While the weekend is set to be cloudy, Monday is looking bright with a top of 27 degrees forecast.
Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Mohammed Nabi said there was a chance of thunderstorms for Friday afternoon, and possible showers on Saturday.
Saturday and Sunday look set to reach maximum temperatures of 22 degrees with possible showers on Saturday and partly cloudy on Sunday.
"Monday is looking like a beautiful day, partly cloudy with a maximum temperature of 27 degrees after a minimum of seven," Mr Nadi said.
He said Canberra and surrounding regions, including parts of Queanbeyan, received about 14mm of rain with the most falling between 8pm and midnight on Thursday.
The drenching resulted in four calls for help from Jerrabomberra, one from Crestwood and one from Karabar.
Two properties required sandbagging to stop flash flooding entering their homes, while three other homes experienced water damage when the sustained rain leaked through their ceilings.
Queanbeyan SES public information officer Brent Hunter said 17 volunteers worked through the night and into the early hours of Friday morning to assist residents.
On Tuesday morning, November 3, a vehicle in Karabar was hit by a falling tree.
Luckily no one was in the vehicle at the time however River Drive was closed while SES volunteers removed the debris.
"We advise that residents where possible move cars from under trees during heavy winds," Mr Hunter said.
