The women's game was a curtain-raiser to the men and they couldn't have pumped up the crowd any better.
Kody Leigh Hirst drew first blood against Harden and an Ashleigh Leach conversion put them ahead 6-0. A Hawkettes response narrowed the margin to just two points at half-time.
Tigerettes' Cass Fisher and Jess O'Rourke worked well in the second half, but Harden snuck a try in the corner to bring the score to 6-8.
With just six minutes on the clock Harden scored what looked to be the match winning try and Bungendore's chances of a premiership seemed lost, but the touch judge ruled a forward pass and it was game on.
Hirst went over with two minutes to go and sealed the inaugural George Tooke League Tag Premiership for the Tigerettes.
Strong footy in the first 20 minutes of the George Tooke Shield grand final from Tigers' Jason Kolber, Peter Mortimer and Ben Amey allowed three tries to Wiremu Hei Hei, Josh Hore and captain/coach Mark Hogan to put the home side out to a 14-0 lead.
Yass made the most of a Bungendore lapse in concentration just before half-time and brought the score back to 14-12.
Tigers' dominance continued into the second half, only taking three minutes for Hei Hei to cross close to the post and another try in the corner from Hore thanks to a brilliant pass from Peter Hunt took the margin to 10 points.
Bungendore's Corey Einhaus intercepted a desperate Yass pass and ran more than 50 metres to score under the post- a conversion from Jordon Webster bringing the George Tooke Premiership back to Bungendore.
Hei Hei's efforts earned him man of the match honours. O'Rouke was named the official player of the match for the Tigerettes and the Club's player of the final series after three tries in the preliminary final against Crookwell.
"I have been involved with the Bungendore Tigers for 25 years and this was most definitely the best day ever," Bungendore president Tony Rayner said.
"The whole town got behind the teams and over 1500 came to watch the matches. The club and the town are so proud of both the women's League Tag and the Men's George Tooke sides.
"Next year we are looking to expand the women's league tag and consolidate the Youth Side.
"This was such a great day- everyone was proud to be a part of it."
