QUEANBEYAN-BASED clubs the Monaro Panthers capital league squad, the Queanbeyan Tigerettes and the Harman Hogs have joined the Blues as minor premiers for their respective competitions and will look towards semi-finals this Saturday.

The Panthers capital league squad have been the shining light for club in what was described as its "building year" for both the state league and women's squads.
An 8-1 win over Canberra Olympic at the Hawker Football Centre on Thursday, August 13 secured the normal season honours and an 8-2 win over the O'Connor Knights at Riverside Stadium on Sunday, August 15 was the icing on the cake.
Monaro's Vele Dukoski is currently second behind ANU's Olaide Yinka-Kehinde in the Capital League leading goal scorers list with 11 goals, followed closely by teammate Nathan Walker, sitting at equal second with 10 goals.
The Tigerettes charged into the semi-final with a 20-point win over fierce competition, Ainslie on Saturday, August 15 at Alan Ray Oval.
The AFL Canberra Division Two reigning premiers made a solid claim towards division one, but fell short with five wins, four losses, but have dominated division two since the competition was split with three wins and the round three contest with Molonglo on August 2 abondoned after heavy rain in the days prior.
Harman catapult into finals having only dropped two matches, they finished off the regular season with a 39-point win over Molonglo.
Player/coach Joel Percy is currently the second leading goal kicker in the competition with 37 majors, captain Daniel Spratt and tall timber Aaron Froud are close behind with 31 and 29 goals respectively.
Monaro, the 2014 Capital League Reserves premiers, will take on ANU at the AIS Grass Fields, reigning premiers the Tigerettes tackle rivals Ainslie at StarTrack Oval and the Hoggies look to throttle ANU at Football Park this Saturday for fast tracks into the Capital League, AFL Canberra Women's Division Two and AFL Canberra Division Four grand finals.
