At 6.30am on Wednesday morning, a 31 year old man from Queanbeyan was driving north on the Hume Hwy, Goulburn, when police recorded his speed at 159km/h.

The driver was stopped and found to be the holder of a red P1 licence, restricting his speed to 90km/h.
As a consequence, he was issued a $2,306 fine. His licence was immediately suspended for six months and his vehicle was seized for three months.
The driver will be responsible for all towing and storage fees.
