Representatives from NSW Police Force, Ambulance Service of NSW, Fire & Rescue NSW, State Emergency Service of NSW, NSW Rural Fire Service, Department of Agriculture, Department of Health and Department of Community Services helped to control simulated fires near Braidwood and Captains Flat, as the Lake George Zone is a large bushfire impact area.
"We perform these exercises to ensure our call-out procedures are in place, we're prepared and that our operating procedures, action plans and EOCs are operating correctly," Local Emergency Operations Controller (LEOCON) Paul Batista said.
"But it's everyone's responsibility to be prepared and people aren't as prepared as they think they are, so they need to attend the community education sessions we run."
