Medicins Sans Frontieres volunteer says the role gave her a new skill set

Dr Tamaris Hoffman says she thought it would be an adventure to volunteer with humanitarian aid organisation Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF). Although the surgeon knew the types of trauma surgery scenarios to expect, actually arriving and volunteering was a revelation, she adds.
