IT'S been four decades since Nick and Frances Dal Molin first fell in love.
They were aged just 20 and 19-years-old respectively and, as with many couples, met while at work - in this case the Bureau of Statistics.
The pair courted, wed and eventually base themselves in Karabar - building their home from scratch including hand making the bricks. They brought up their three children in that home and still reside there.
Fast forward to 2015 and Nick and Frances will celebrate their "ruby" anniversary on Sunday. The pair plan to mark the occasion by enjoying an intimate lunch with family members.
The couple's three children Vicky, Katrina and Anthony put together a few words to mark their parents' milestone.
"We were so fortunate to grow up in a home completely surrounded filled with love. It was not just that we three children were unconditionally loved by our parents Nick and Frances, but it was abundantly clear that they adored each other too.
"Our parents have always treated each other with the utmost care, tenderness and respect. They were a team, in it together every step of the way. Forty year into their marriage and this has never wavered, not even for a moment.
"It is the simple things in life they enjoy the most. They have devoted their lives to each other, to hard work, family, amazing home cooking, happiness, the farm and travel.
"Our parents' relationship has set the bar extremely high and taught us we should not settle for anything less than amazing. We should all be so lucky as to find the rare type of love that they have for each other, a love that will endure through absolutely anything."
