After working hard at school and with his chores, a 10-year-old Queanbeyan boy was rewarded with a new motorbike. However, his parents say it's been hard to convince him of justice in the world after the bike was stolen from the family's Queanbeyan property on Thursday, May 14.

The father of the boy, who has chosen not to be named, said his wife checked on their two sons, aged 10 and eight after they had caught the bus home from school and noticed the shed rollerdoor was halfway up. She checked the shed and that's when she discovered the less than six-month-old blue Yamaha TTR 125 missing.
Both boys have been shaken since the incident, worried the person may return and have been anxious over every bump and bang they hear, their father said.
"[My son] had to earn that bike because myself and [my wife] wanted to teach him the value of things. We paid a lot of money for it and someone has just stolen it," the boy's father said.
"What right do they have to take it?
"[My son] was absolutely gutted, he was shaking and upset and the [younger son] was blaming himself, saying it was his fault.
"Now every time there's a bang or knock or a car drives past they wake up and they think it's them coming back."
The parents reported the incident to police and dropped off flyers pleading for any information on the stolen bike.
Neighbours told the parents they saw a young person riding the bike along the street on the afternoon of the incident and said similar incidents have occurred in the past.
The boy's mother said she is disappointed and is pleading for the general public to come forward if they have any information.
"It's more disappointing that it's my child's bike that was stolen - that's the most disappointing factor about it," she said.
"[My son] says to us 'what's really unfair is that's my bike and [someone else] is riding it'.
"I just couldn't believe it- hopefully there's somebody out there who knows where it is or can help at all," the boy's father said.
Anyone with any information relating to the incident should contact Queanbeyan Police on 6298 0555.
