Locals Joe Cleary and Myffy Rae were among the winners, Rae's Prince of Destiny taking out the Designer Doves Benchmark 65 Handicap and Cleary's Moss Fever crossing the line first in the Black Caviar Punters Cup Two-year-old Maiden Plate.
The Racing Club only ran five races- calling off the remainder due to the weather and lack of visibility.
Cleary joked his horse, Going Kentucky, in the 1000-metre Maiden Handicap, the sixth race, would have also won if it ran.
But it was all about the ladies inside the venue- 87 people attended the Mother's Day Luncheon, with $900 raised for local charity Bosom Buddies.
There was a spit roast lunch and plenty of pampering stalls for the Mums - jewellery, candle and makeup stalls and more; and jugglers, balloon animals and the like for the children.
The group played Family Feud, Heads and Tails and Queanbeyan Racing Club CEO Brendan Comyn said despite the weather it was a great day.
"It was a good crowd for a horrible day," he said.
"It was a very successful day and I'm sure everyone had a great time.
"We've picked up another meeting on July 11, so we'll have a shorter wait then previous years."
