Goulburn matched the Yowies in the first quarter, playing a hard zone, but the visitors came back with almost double the Bears second quarter score to lead by 11 points at halftime.
Despite having already played two SEABL games on Thursday and Saturday star centre Kristen Langhorn top scored for the Yowies with 27 points and showed strength and versatility.
The Bears placed a double team on Langhorn, but Yowies guard Emma Anderson said they found a way around it.
"We have a good zone offence- Kris (Langhorn) is just so versatile, so we'd pass it inside to her and she'd kick it back out," she said.
"She has good passes, so she can find the open man outside and she can shoot from the perimeter.
"Olivia Simpson (4 points) hit some really good shots and Annie La Fleur (13 points) played a good leadership role.
"The young girls Mae Grant and Nadezda Dorsoski played really well- Nadezda really held her own."
The Yowies stretched out to a 14-point lead at the final break and ran out eventual winners by 15 points.
Queanbeyan take a much deserved break and hit the floor again against the Wagga at the Queanbeyan Basketball Centre on Sunday, May 24.
Despite wins in both previous matches against the Blaze and the addition of Tegan Kettles, who will have returned from college basketball duties in the US, Anderson said the Yowies cannot afford to go in overconfident.
"I think we should have Tegan back, so her versatility should be good for us," she said.
"But we don't ever go in thinking we've got it.
"Wagga are always tough, so we need to stay focused and play our game.
"We'll need a really big team effort (against Wagga)."
