Over 100 people, including current players and their partners, life members and their partners and honoured guests witness the inaugural Mark Higgs medal for the first grade player of the season awarded to former English expat, Ed Barnard.
Barnard is now back playing in England, so could not accept the award personally, but the QDCC was gracious enough to create a cardboard cutout of him to accept both the Mark Higgs medal and the Gary Samuels Award for the best first grade bowler.
The night was attended by guests Mayor Tim Overall, Justice John Gallop and club patron and President of ACTCA, Ian McNamee; as well as life members Winston McDonald, Phil Moon, Colvin Berry, Ian McNamee, Peter Solway, Michael Frost, Stephen Cross, Stephen Frost, James Martin and Ron McGlashan.
