The six term blowout between a mix of Tiger's and ANU's first and second grade players was won by Queanbeyan by an impressive 142 points.
The 26.17 (173) to 4.7 (31) flogging looks good on paper, but ANU plays in a lower division to the Tigers, which made the performance difficult to judge, Klemke said.
"It was hard to gauge how well we played, but there were good passages of play," he said.
"Our skills weren't as good as I'd hoped and we still have a lot of work to do with structure.
"But it was good to have a run around- there were a lot of positives."
Senior players stood up and younger players had the opportunity to showcase themselves, Klemeke said.
"Andrew Swan, Brett Fruend, Ben Fulford and Kane Goode were all up forward working well together," he said.
"It was good to see new recruits stepping up.
"Billy Reid from Golburn and Dean Ross, who played a lot in div one last year were two young guys who played well."
