It was the unexpected star of Katy Perry's technicoloured Superbowl performance, so it seems only natural that the singer would want to celebrate the now iconic "Left Shark" with a onesie.

Fans of the Dark Horse singer can now dress as the freestyling shark from Perry's halftime show, by purchasing a Left Shark onesie from her website.
Perry was joined by two dancers dressed as sharks during her performance of California Girls, in the middle of the 30-year-old's halftime set. Dubbed by Twitter users as "Left Shark" and "Right Shark", the former gained a significant following after it was spotted busting out some seemingly improvised (but probably rehearsed) moves on stage.
Perry tweeted the news to her 66 million followers, saying her fans would no longer need to make DIY costumes of the shark.

However, at $US129 ($165), the left shark onesie is a novelty purchase with a serious price tag.
Perry's online store describes the onesie as being made "using a special sublimation technique to provide a vivid graphic image".
For those not quite ready to commit to the onesie, the singer has also released a Left Shark t-shirt which retails at $US25 ($32).
The launch of the official merchandise comes after Perry threatened legal action against an artist who was creating pieces based on the sharks without the singer's permission.
CNN reported last month that artist Fernando Sosa, who 3D-prints politically themed sculptures, received a cease and desist order from Perry's legal team after he created a Left Shark figure and listed it for sale on his website.
