His comments followed Higgs' first appearance for Queanbeyan this season last Saturday, with his last appearance for the side being December last year, and Taylor said he could make more Queanbeyan outings over the summer.
Higgs was born and raised in Queanbeyan, and has scored over 5000 runs for the club and taken over 300 wickets, but his Comets coaching commitments these days means he does not have much time to play for his local club.
The one-time Australian warm-up match player and former NSW and South Australian first class cricketer made 19 runs and took 1/18 from eight overs in Queanbeyan's 60 run win over Ginninderra, which put them in second on the ladder.
Taylor said Higgs, 38, still loved playing for Queanbeyan, and was still committed to helping the club whenever he could.
"He's a Queanbeyan boy through and through, he loves the club and loves the area, and wants to see the club do well," Taylor said.
"Where he can he's all in for helping us out and directing the young boys around with how to improve their cricket... whenever he's available we'll pick him."
While Taylor said Higgs' presence helped his men beat Ginninderra, he said Higgs would not be used as the go-to man to win games all the time.
"Simon Fahey took four wickets on the day, so Higgs won't be the one we rely on to win games. He's just another member of the team, and that's the way he sees it as well," Taylor said.
The Bluebags backed Saturday's match with another, against the ANU, on Sunday at Freebody Oval, with the students running away with a six wicket win.
