The former NEAFL squad co-coach, who will now head coach the AFL Canberra division one team after the club dropped from the NEAFL, was the clear winner of the best and fairest honour.
He picked up 177 votes to claim the award by 46 votes, after fellow former NEAFL co-coach Josh Bryce finished runner-up with 131 votes, while Jarrod Atkinson came in third with 104 votes.
Klemke said in suffering no injuries this season, he was able to play the most consistent football he has ever played.
"I'm not big on accolades, in fact I would have much rather had achieved better team results," he said.
"But I felt like I had my best season of footy. I didn't suffer any injuries, I had a full pre-season, and I was able to play every match of the season. It was a shame we didn't win most of them though."
He played two matches for the NEAFL representative side against the WAFL and Tasmanian representative teams, and while his men were beaten comprehensively both times, he was still awarded man-of-the-match in the WAFL game.
He kicked nine goals this season for the Tigers but collected three more man-of-the-match performances, and finishing in the top six for best players on ground another nine times, he was an easy pick for the Tony Wynd medal.
Meanwhile, Klemke plans to lift the standard of the club's AFL Canberra division one side as he moves down a level to coach them.
While training sessions will be reduced to two per week, he said he will work closely with assistant Paul Campbell to improve playing skills down the club's grades.
"We'll only have two training sessions a week, but the intensity will be how it was with the NEAFL squad," Klemke said.
"We'll be doing our best to bring players together, and hopefully that will filter down our ranks as well."
