Their Bowls ACT mid-week pennant competition second grade side is currently undefeated after four rounds, while the first grade side has dropped just a single match.
According to the women's club president Margaret Davies, the negative circumstances surrounding the Queanbeyan club, of which the women are a sub-club under, have only brought the women's players closer together.
"We play a team game, and all of our women are committed, and instead of dropping out of their teams and leaving the club, they've kept playing well together which is great to see," Davies said.
The women have 16 players across their two pennant sides playing this season, with each side consisting of two teams of four players, but a lot of them have been playing together for over 14 years.
They also boast former ACT champion of champions Bette McDonald, who is considered a more recent member of the women's club but has still been there for the past several years.
With the women's club being the only part of the Queanbeyan Bowling Club eligible for ACT pennant competitions at the moment, as they have paid their affiliation fees, Davies said there was not a better time for the women to hold strong.
"We try to keep the same teams together all the time," she said.
"Even if we have players away, instead of changing players in other teams around, we bring in reserve players, and that system has worked very well for us."
