Police are looking for the driver of a car that struck and seriously injured a woman in Queanbeyan on Saturday night.

About 5pm, Saturday a Hyundai Accent was travelling along Davison Street when it was involved in a collision with a 30-year-old woman.
The woman was thrown onto the road and sustained serious head injuries while the driver allegedly fled the scene leaving the car behind.
Police and paramedics attended the scene and the woman was taken to Canberra Hospital where she remains in a serious condition after undergoing surgery.
A crime scene was established on Davison Street and the Hyundai seized while investigations into the collision are conducted.
Detectives from Monaro Local Area Command are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has information about the identity of the driver to come forward and contact police.
