FORMER-Queanbeyan City Council general manager Hugh Percy has been confirmed as the locum general manager following the ongoing sick leave of incumbent Gary Chapman.

The decision was made on Wednesday, September 17 during a closed session of a Queanbeyan City Council meeting.
In a statement released the following morning, council confirmed Mr Percy had been appointed in the role on a month-to-month basis and will commence in the position from today.
Mr Chapman has been away from the role since late August and a return date has not been confirmed.
Mr Percy was the town clerk and general manager from 1988 - 2004.
He was deputy to that role for the 15 years prior to that.
He has also served on a number of local boards and is a former general manager of Parkhill Financial Group.
