They beat Molonglo in the division two grand final 7.11.53 to 2.3.15 at Greenway Oval, and Anderson said that made for a good case to pitch towards the league.

The Tigerettes are now undefeated in two years playing against second division teams, while they lost just four games this year in their cross-division matches against first division teams.

"We're hopeful of playing division one next year," Anderson said.

"That's in the hands of the league, so we've put the numbers up there [as a pitch], but the structure of the league next year, we're not sure about."

Anderson was very happy with his side's performance in the grand final, with his girls conceding just two behinds in the second half to jump from a 20-13 half time lead to their final score.

"It was a very hard fought game. We feel as though we had such a good year that it would have been a shame to have lost it, but Molonglo came out really hard, and we knew they'd put a lot of pressure on us," Anderson said.

"It took us a while to actually get on top of them, but having said that, after that year I thought we deserved to win the grand final."

Mikaela Eldridge was named man of the match for her efforts, and with his side dominating inside-50's, Anderson said mid-fielders and forwards in Fallon Lieschke, Melissa Hurley, and Lauren Flakeler all stood up when it mattered.

"Little Lauren was the smallest player on the field, but she wasn't intimidated at all," Anderson said with a laugh.

"We struggled with our accuracy early, but it was a team effort, and everyone stood up when they had to."

Anderson will stay on as coach, and is confident he will keep the same squad for next season.
