SHE'S been the highest-selling travel agent in south-east NSW for over a decade and was recognised as Australia's best travel agent last year. And this year, Queanbeyan City Travel and Cruise co-owner Jenny Cooper has again scored highly at the industry's night of nights, the National Travel Industry Awards, and was a runner-up in the agent of the year category. It places her in the top five agents in the country, among an industry of thousands.

Mrs Cooper and her husband Jim took the whole Queanbeyan Travel and Cruise family up to celebrate with 1800 of their industry peers at the award's gala dinner, held at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney in July. She said was thrilled to have again been recognised for her passion for travel.
"I was happy to be acknowledged by my peers yet again. It was a wonderful accolade. To be one of the five top travel consultants in Australia is truly wonderful," she said.
And Mrs Cooper said celebrating the evening with her husband Jim and the company's six employees and their partners made it all the more special.
"It was a full office affair," she said. "We all let our hair down and had a good night. It was a relaxed evening. There was no pressure this year [after winning last year]."
It's been a busy year for the local agent, with the Coopers and their team squeezing in plenty of international travel and research among their daily work.
"We've got Luke Cochrane heading off to South America for two weeks, and Laura Murphy is off to see the Christmas Markets in Germany in November. Daniella Ferry is heading to Quebec and will travel the whole of east-coast of Canada, and Caterina Agnello is recently back from Dubai.
"Plus Jim and I are off to America in November to do the Cruise Master course, so we'll be cruising from LA down the coast of Mexico.
"So within the next couple of months we'll have covered nearly every point of the globe," Mrs Cooper said.
It's all part of the glamorous world of travel, and Mrs Cooper said she still got a thrill out of helping customers go on their dream holidays.
"I love every day of it. The best part is helping people plan their dream," she said.
