Queanbeyan Police were called out to a domestic dispute in Alanbar Road, Queanbeyan at about 11pm on Saturday, September 6.
At the location, police were confronted by the male who was intoxicated and aggressive towards his family and in turn towards police.
The male was subsequently arrested for a domestic assault and as he was being arrested, he resisted police and assaulted two police officers.
He was taken to the Queanbeyan Police Station where he was charged with a number of related matters.
Whilst in the charge room of the police station, the male again became violent and assaulted several police officers.
The male was charged with a number of assault matters including assaulting police and resisting arrest.
“Our job is often difficult enough without idiots thinking they can assault police every time they don’t get things their own way,” Detective Inspector Shane Box said.
"This is just another case of where someone thinks it is ok to assault police.
"Let me make it clear that this is not the case and police will take every avenue open to them to ensure these people are dealt with by the courts.”
The man will reappear in Queanbeyan Local Court on September 15.
