Operated by AAT Kings touring, the bus was re-configured to have just four seats at the front and a synthetic bowling pitch laid out just three weeks ago, and is spending a month and a half on the highways to visit regional bowling clubs.
And it will then be used in Sydney in September to try and break the Guinness World Record for the longest continuous indoor bowling event, which stands at 40 hours.
AAT sales manager for NSW and ACT Simon Vincent said the company just wanted to try something different in attracting people to lawn bowls.
"It was something quirky, and something fun and different," he said.
"On our tour we're helping local bowling clubs get people to their clubs. Anyone can bowl on the bus for free, and they'll receive $100 vouchers for their local travel agencies, as well as an offer of club membership."
Queanbeyan Bowling Club vice-president Kevin Pearson said it was exciting for the club to be able to host what he described a "unique" attraction.
