The Trinity Christian School student said it's been a little bizarre being back in the classroom after appearing on the reality television show.
"It's almost a bit awkward, some of my best friends have been asking me for my autograph," Jack, 13, said.
"Random people come up to me and ask if I'm that guy from the Voice Kids."
The year seven student landed himself a spot on Team Madden after audition with a version of Taylor Swift's 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together'.
The song wasn't well received but Joel and Benji Madden the youngster's voice was enough to get them to swivel their red leather chair around.
"I'm never gonna have you sing that song again," Joel said.
"You have a rock and roll voice. It's super raw and super cool and super rock 'n' roll. I was like 'I've got to see what's going on here'."
The year seven student was eliminated from the competition last Sunday during the 'battle round' against fellow contestants Jack L and Chris.
The trio went head to head in the ring singing Avicii's 'Wake Me Up'. Chris was chosen as the eventual victor, the judges described him as being 'a little further down the road'.
But Jack, who is a singer, songwriter and guitarist, said The Voice Kids was a great experience. Although, he wishes he had chosen a different audition song and was allowed to play his guitar on stage.
"The hardest part for me was performing without my guitar. But during the battle round, I really grew in confidence. I was confident performing with the other boys and being onstage without my guitar," he said.
"When I auditioned for The Voice Kids all I wanted to do was have a fun and it was really fun.
"I got to meet lots of young people like me. It was great being backstage with my guitar and singing with everyone, harmonising, that was the best bit."
Jack said he loved being part of Team Madden.
"Joel and Benji, they're just really cool and so casual. They're cool in the way they talked and acted," he said.
"When we were prepping for the battle round they said when we get out there, just be ourselves, not a copy of one another.
"They said, 'bring yourselves, don't worry about the others, it's about you and your personality'. I try to remember that when I perform now."
Jack began learning guitar about four and half years ago after being inspired by his dad, Graeme.
The former-2012 Riverside Plaza Starsearch finalist said he'll continue pursuing the musical path.
"The ultimate for me? I hate to say it, but it would be something like One Direction," he admitted.
"Just being able to sing all around the world, with a couple of friends by my side."
For now, locals can catch young Jack performing solo. He regularly busks around Queanbeyan and Canberra. Not only is it good performance practise but it also yields the teenager a pocket money.
"Busking is my way of performing. If I feel like doing a gig, I can go and do it, anytime and anyplace," he said.
"I just go to the streets and entertain."
The Voice Kids airs on Channel Nine on Sunday from 7.30pm. Watch clips at ninemsn.com.au
