A big win was expected and that is exactly what the Aussie Hotel Yass Roos delivered against the Tuggeranong Hawks.

The Roos rained the scoring shots in against little opposition to win the match 29-19-193 to 2-3-15.
There was little the Hawks could take from this game. If not for a lazy third quarter by the Roos when they failed to steady and get the most from scoring shots the score line would have been well over two hundred points. The final quarter was a rout as the Roos notched up 10-5 while keeping the Hawks scoreless.
Thirteen players added goals to their tallies for the Roos. Jak Willcox did nothing to damage his chances of taking out the club's goal kicker of the year award with six goals. Doug Watchorn, from his spot at full forward got five, Jim Kelly snared four and Cam Attwell was happy with his three. Dave Willersdorf and Leigh French got doubles and it was singles for new player Daryn Stocks (with his first kick for the club), Paul Willersdorf, Jarrad Forlonge, Darren Pfeiffer, Lennon Thurtell, Toby Serafin and Ben Willersdorf.
Best players were Paul Willersdorf, Jarrad Forlonge, Darren Pfeiffer, Jake Forth, Jak Willcox and Doug Watchorn.
The ladder stays the same again this week with Cootamundra defeating South Coast to stay on top. Yass closed the percentage gap but still hold second place. No-one seems to want travel to Goulburn as Harman forfeited the match set down for Goodhew Park (just like Tuggeranong last weekend). This keeps Goulburn in third place but lacking some match practice. Cooma and Ainslie both had wins and are in fourth and fifth respectively.
There are four more games before the finals and the Roos next three are away games in Canberra. This weekend they take on Ainslie at Alan Ray Oval in Ainslie. The match gets underway at 12pm on Saturday. Ainslie will be very motivated to keep their finals bid alive by defeating the Roos. Equally, the Roos are looking to finish the home and away season on top of the ladder. They can only achieve this with four wins from the next four games. It should be another terrific spectacle as these teams battle it out.
I'll see you at the footy. Go the Roos.
