A 17-year-old Queanbeyan boy was forced to call his parents to come pick him up after he was caught speeding and had his license suspended.

The P-plater was caught travelling 136km/h in a 100km/h zone along Old Cooma Road, Googong on Saturday, July 19. The incident occurred about 12.40pm in the afternoon.
The young man received a fine and had his license immediately suspended. He will have to continue relying on his parents for lifts as he's been ordered to stay off the road for the next three months.
