LOCAL sporting groups are being encouraged to apply for the NSW Government’s Sport and Recreation grant program with applications for the program to be accepted until September 3.
Sporting groups are able to apply for up to $50,000 in government funding through the grant scheme.
Sporting bodies applying for grants must showcase how the project would increase participation opportunities in sport and/or address barriers to participation in sport, recreation or other physical activity.
Grants are capped at $10,000 for participation projects and $50,000 for facility projects with sporting organisations required to commit 50 per cent of the total project funding.
“I urge all sporting organisations in the Monaro region to take the opportunity to apply for this round of grants,” Local member for Monaro John Barilaro said.
