WHILE they have technically achieved their goal of going the first half of the Canberra Raiders Cup season undefeated, the Queanbeyan Kangaroos will focus heavily on consolidating their game for 80 minutes.

The west Queanbeyan venture broke it's two-game draw-a-thon in round six action away against the Gungahlin Bulls, racing to a 30-0 lead before eventually taking a 38-22 win.
Fullback Bryan Cronan, who managed his second double this season during the game, said it was a much improved performance but the side was still disappointed in sleeping on a 30-point lead.
"The feeling is much more positive now after that win against the Bulls, but we just need to keep working at putting 80 minutes together," he said.
"It was good to get the win before having two weeks off though, and Goz [coach Aaron Gorrell] reminded us that if we didn't win it would've been a month with no wins."
The win came at a crucial time, propelling them two points clear to first on the ladder with the Goulburn Workers Bulldogs smashing the Tuggeranong Bushrangers, who had come within one point of the Kangaroos the week before.
Cronan said a positive for his men at the moment was the form of their right edge attack, featuring himself along with winger Ratu Tagive, centre Robbie Byatt and halves Jordan Macey and Luke Jones, with each player finding quick feet in attack.
Macey also managed a double against the Bulls, while Tagive and Byatt scored a try a piece to bring the five's try tally to a massive 20- or 60 points.
"Our right edge attack is playing great at the moment, and it's probably our best attacking weapon," he said.
"The big men are doing their jobs as well, because without room at the front, we can't move and do what we do."
The Kangroos' defence worked a treat as well in the first half against the Bulls but Cronan said they "went to sleep" in conceding 22 second half points.
They face the West Belconnen Warriors on June 22 after breaks for the long weekend and the representative round.
