Hosted by special events consultant Danielle Cleary, CEO of Queanbeyan Racing Brendan Comyn and Events manager Melissa Henry, the day included door prizes, best dressed & bosom buddies raffle, sponsors displays, a fashion parade, brunch, childrens games and a special appearance by Salsabor Dancers and Queanbeayn Showgirl 2014, Mercia Neville.
Danielle Cleary was dressed by Debbie Maree Fashion Boutique and Merci (pictured) styled with Cynthia Hats. Deziner Beauty and TG’s Hair Studio completed their look.
Mr Comyn said that the Mother's Day event drew a large crowd to enjoy the wonderful weather and great racing.
“The Queanbeyan Race Club is planning a series of ‘special event’ days when racing resumes at the course on september 8 2014," said Comyn.
Winner of the final race Hawaiian Heart, trained by Frank Cleary, was the leader in the 'horse of the year' before the race and by winning took the honour of being the best performed galloper on the Queanbeyan track this season.
Part owned by Franks wife Sue, the horse was far too good for his opposition.
Frank also took out the leading trainer of the year at Queanbeyan for the seventeenth time.
