With an all-star cast led by Australian cabaret sensation Eddie Daniels, Pitney's biggest songs will live on stage again, including Love my Life Away, The Man who Shot Liberty Valance, 24 Hours from Tulsa, Half Heaven, Half Heartache, Mecca, Town without Pity and many more.
Born in Connecticut, Gene Pitney was an early-mid sixties star with a string of hits on both sides of the Atlantic.
His unique sound and amazing harmonies have stood the test of time, and this sensational reproduction of his greatest hits provides a musical walk down memory lane.
Pitney's career continued on into the seventies, and he amassed over 40 top twenty hits while also writing many of the songs he performed. He also wrote hits for other recording artists, including Hello Mary Lou, a hit for Ricky Nelson.
Pitney was deservedly inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002 and continued to perform up into the 1980s to sell-out crowds across the globe.
The unmistakable voice of Pitney will be heard again during this rare live recreation of the legendary superstar.
This vocally perfect and musically excellent presentation by the best in Australia will transport the audience back, to that unique sound that was Pitney and to the amazing songs of the sixties era.
