Mr Chapman works for council. He and his staff are there to do whatever council wants for the community. Sure Mr Chapman is entitled to his opinion but he can’t undo a council decision he disapproves of, so what possible purpose can there be for him to speak out besides hurting council’s reputation? It’s a bad idea for council and for the community.
Would Mr Chapman tolerate his employees publicly criticising his decisions? I bet he wouldn’t!
