A Queanbeyan man accused of photographing up a woman's dress at the National Multicultural Festival is expected to be charged with a further 10 offences, a court has heard.

Prosecutors told the ACT Magistrates Court on Tuesday police needed time to collect and process evidence of Sung Kun Kim's alleged activities.

Kim, 47, was charged with committing an act of indecency after allegedly taking a photograph up a woman's dress without her knowledge on February 7.

Police said a member of the public alerted them to the alleged offence after witnessing an incident at the opening night of the popular Civic festival.

The witness provided police with a description of the alleged offender. He was found near the fountain on City Walk a short time later. The statement said a search uncovered a camera that contained a photograph of the woman described by the witness.

The court on Tuesday heard police investigations also allegedly found a further 2200 pictures and videos of taken up women's dresses on a USB stick owned by Kim.

Prosecutor Trent Hickey said police were still examining the evidence and successfully applied to have the matter adjourned until next month.
