The recently launched Frequent Buyers program allows shoppers to redeem a point for every dollar spent at Riverside Plaza. These points can be exchanged for prizes including beauty gift bags, picnic packs and even a smartphone.
Riverside Plaza marketing manager Heidi Flaherty said she's received a lot of positive feedback about the month-long promotion.
"There's a lot of curiosity. People like how simple it is. They just need to hold onto their receipts, bring it to the booth when it's open and they get their pick of the prize," she said.
"We have a lot of repeat customers and through this we've had to opportunity to meet them face to face. It is a simple and exciting way for the local community to receive added value for their money and a great incentive to shop with Riverside Plaza."
Customers can claim their prizes until March 1 every Thursday from 4.30pm - 7.30pm as well as Friday and Saturday from 11am - 2pm at the booth located opposite Sanity.
There are 2400 prizes up for grabs and they'll be given out on a first come first serve basis.
"Each week we have a different theme for the prizes. This week's theme is Valentine's Day and then we have 'home life' and the final week is 'spoil yourself'. Prizes can be viewed on our website," Mrs Flaherty said.
Members of the Frequent Buyers program are encouraged to sign up to the Riverside Plaza website to keep track of their points. The member with the most points will win the 'Ultimate Prize Pack' valued at more than $1000.
Mrs Flaherty said customers will have a chance to claim some bonus points in the future with more to be revealed in the coming weeks.
