The new service makes it quicker to stream movies, download music and browse the internet, with typical downloads speeds of between two and 50 megabits per second.
Telstra area general manager, Chris Taylor, said the new 4G coverage will support residents and local businesses in Queanbeyan.
"The new 4G service will offer faster download and upload speeds - a real plus for anyone looking to send large files while they are on the move," Mr Taylor said.
