Queanbeyan Park Tennis Club is offering free tennis at Campbell Street Tennis Courts on the weekend of 18-19 January to encourage participation in the game.
The courts are free to all players on Saturday from 2-6pm and Sunday from 9am-4pm.
The courts are in excellent condition and have recently been resurfaced.
If you are interested in having a game, club members will be available to play with you. Players of all skill levels are welcome.
If you are a beginner or just haven't played for a while, the club has a professional coach, Bronwyn Kitchener (0409 443 929) who can schedule coaching lessons.
Bronwyn will be at the courts on Sunday, January 19 from 9-11am to provide advice, guidance and coaching tips.
The club offers social tennis on every Sunday morning from 9am-12pm and both members and non members are welcome.
There are also social competitions throughout the year. A range of membership options are available including single, pensioner and family memberships.
Members have free access to the courts all year and are covered by sports insurance.
Queanbeyan Park Tennis Club actively participates in the long running regional Southwell and Williams Cup competitions and last year Queanbeyan won the Williams Cup.
The competition is actively looking for new players.
A "Back to Queanbeyan Park Tennis Club" event is also planned for March 22 to encourage all former and current club members to get together for tennis.
There will also be a social function and presentation of Life Memberships and Certificates of Appreciation in the spirit of tennis fellowship.
The Club would like to see as many current and former players and Life Members attend as possible.
Further information on either event is available from Kris on 0408 210 476 or Kathy on 0402 410 276.
