EVERY year on Anzac Day local diggers gather at Walsh’s Hotel for a ‘Gunfire Breakfast’, hosted by Queanbeyan Legacy and with the food and facilities donated by Walsh’s Hotel.
This year a total of over $4000 was raised for local war widows in Anzac Day fundraising, and chairman Jack Sealey met with Walsh’s Hotel licensee Trent Miller on Tuesday to say thanks for the support.
‘‘We’re very grateful to Walsh’s for all the help they give us, and for the food and facilities they donate to us each year,’’ he said.
The Queanbeyan Bowls Club, the Jerrabomberra Hotel and HMAS Harman also donated to Legacy’s Anzac Day appeal.
