A 28-YEAR-OLD Canberra man was arrested on drug charges in Queanbeyan on Monday night.

About 9.15pm on Monday night, 16 December, 2013, police were patrolling Fergus Road, Queanbeyan when they saw an ACT registered vehicle parked in the street with two male occupants.
Police then approached the vehicle and spoke to the males. Police then conducted a search of the vehicle and located a back pack with approximately 53 grams of cannabis. A further search of the vehicle located another 3 grams of cannabis in the centre console.
A 28yr old male from Waniassa in the ACT was then arrested and conveyed to the Queanbeyan Police Station where he was interviewed about the matter and subsequently charged with drug related offences.
He was then bailed to appear in the Queanbeyan Local Court on the 13 January, 2014
