Instead, they'll bear the new company name 'QCity Transit' following an official branding relaunch on Wednesday, with an overhaul of bus routes and services to follow later this year.
The local bus company was sold to Australia's largest privately owned bus operator, ComfortDelGro Cabcharge Pty Ltd (CDC), last September.
Although CDC Chief Executive Jim Glasson said it was the end of an era for the Deane's brand, he said the new name upheld the town's identity, and each bus will also carry the official 175th anniversary logo.
"We just thought it was time we branded this as specifically Queanbeyan, and now's a good time with the 175th anniversary celebrations on the go.
"The one thing that's stood out for me since we took over Deane's is the identity of Queanbeyan and the people who live here.
"They don't see themselves as part of the ACT, and I think the realignment of the company name with the town sits well with that strong identity," he said.
The company's 'Transborder Express' brand will remain unchanged for services operating in the Yass and Murrumbateman to Canberra corridor.
Mr Glasson was joined by Queanbeyan Mayor Tim Overall, NSW Member for Monaro John Barilaro and Deane's Transit group manager Steve Bushby at the launch on Wednesday morning.
Mayor Overall said the relaunch would add to the 175th anniversary celebrations.
"It's new modern branding for a growing town, and it's nice to see the 175th anniversary badge on there as well.
"I think it is fitting that, as we celebrate our 175th birthday during 2013, Queanbeyan's bus service is adopting our city's name, and I am encouraged by the commitment of the new owners to support our community and its future growth," he said.
Also at the launch was local bus driver, David Quodling, a third generation member of the Quodling family, who owned the local bus line until the mid-seventies.
"It feels good to be part of a company that has grown with Queanbeyan, and which my family has played a key role in developing in its early years," he said.
QCity Transit will review its current services and routes in Queanbeyan in the next 3-6 months, and company CEO Jim Glasson said that process would include a public consultation phase.
