In the women's tournament, Chinese side Shandong proved too strong, dispatching Warringah in a one-sided grand final.
Earlier in the day, Queanbeyan had looked a strong chance of making it through to the men's decider after knocking out arch-rivals Tuggeranong in the quarter-finals.
But it wasn't to be as the Whites A-side, superbly led by flyhalf Sam Windsor, went down to Parramatta in the semis.
Coincidently, Queanbeyan's demise was wrought by a familiar face with former Whites coach Glenn Christini directing play for the Sydneysiders.
The Whites also fell just short in the women's after going down to Parramatta in the semi-finals.
