Lost Queanbeyan canyoner found alive

A 26-YEAR-OLD Queanbeyan canyoner is being rescued after getting into trouble in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney overnight. 

Rescuers are walking the man out of the Bowens Creek area near Mt Wilson. Police say he is suffering from mild dehydration and hypothermia.

NSW Police resumed a full-scale search and rescue operation for the man this morning after a personal locater beacon was activated in the Blue Mountains yesterday evening. 

It is believed the 26-year-old from Queanbeyan was canyoning in the area and activated the beacon east of Mt Wilson.
