Broadcaster Ray Hadley says he and his police officer son Daniel have been cleared of assaulting a 17-year-old boy who was a guest at a party at their north-west Sydney home.

The 2GB broadcaster said on Friday he now expected the teenager to apologise to him and for his parents to foot the bill for the damage the boy did to the family home at a Year 12 after party.
"I am looking forward to an apology from the young man involved and I will be seeking restitution from his parents for the $500 damage he did," Hadley told Fairfax Media.
As revealed by Fairfax Media, police launched an investigation into events at the party in Kenthurst last September after the teenager made a complaint against Hadley and his son.
The boy admitted he was "heavily intoxicated" but said he was assaulted by both men while attending the party being hosted by Hadley's daughter.
The allegations were immediately dismissed by the Hadley camp as being "absolutely ridiculous".
Hadley said at the time that he did have to "escort" the 17-year-old off his property but at no time was he attacked by anyone.
It is understood that police were told that the teenager might have been responsible for property damage at the Hadley house.
Comment was being sought from the NSW police.
