Comics on the Run is made up of three of Australia's finest stand-up comics, who are delighted to be performing at the Royal as part of their summer tour with a 'Saturday night live' comedy experience.
Headlining the show is one of the country's best headline comic writers and performers, New Zealand-born comedian Chris Wainhouse, as seen on Rove Live and The Footy Show, with his brand new stand-up comedy set.
Support acts include Sydney's brightest young talent Ray Badran, showcased on Channel Nine's Footy Show, and completing the impressive line-up, the driving force behind the 'Comics on the Run', Scottish MC Barry McLeod, winner of the prestigious national BT Publishing's Event Entertainer of the Year.
"This is truly an international show in the classic three-man line-up of very different comedians - there's something in this show for everyone" McLeod said, who makes every show unique with his ability to chat to the audience while weaving in and out of funny stories.
Ray Badran brings his hilarious young outlook on life to the table, while Chris Wainhouse is renowned for his razor sharp one-liners and love of the ridiculous.
Badran said "It's great to be touring in January, I can't believe I get paid to travel and perform with the likes of Chris Wainhouse and Barry McLeod - it's like a 'busman's holiday.'"
Comics on the Run is about bringing mainstream comedy -the kind of shows you'd see in Melbourne and Sydney- to regional New South Wales for a reasonable price, and it doesn't come any more reasonable than a $15 cover charge.
Comics on the Run performed for years at previous venues that Royal Hotel manager Adrian Sandrey has managed, and he said he was pleased to have quality comics playing at his pub.
"I've known Barry McLeod for over eight years and am delighted he is bringing the boys here to the Royal Hotel - we are in for a very funny night," he said."What better way to start off the year than with a good hearty Royal laugh."
So if you are looking for a good night out and a great laugh, head to The Royal Hotel Queanbeyan this Saturday at 8.00pm. Entry is $15 per head. To avoid disappointment book tickets at The Royal Hotel: phone on 6294 1444.
