There's a magnificent lights display and nativity scene nestled in the front yard and even more Christmas decorations to enjoy inside the house including a Christmas tree covered in falling snow, dancing Santas and interactive ornaments adding to the festive cheer.

Mr Jones said their house had become quite the attraction for local families and they had regular visitors each year.

"It started off very small, just for my children to enjoy, then my grandchildren and now everyone likes to come and have a look," Mr Jones said.

"The first thing people ask me is how much it all costs. But I just say 'You don't have to pay for them, so just enjoy it'. I'll worry about the bills next year."

Mr Jones starts decorating on November 1 and pulls it all down two months later.

He said handing out lollies and watching the children's reactions make it all worth it.

"I like seeing the expressions on the kids' faces and I hear them say 'Ah, this is new or that is new'," he said.

"I don't mind, this is for everyone."
